Ok, since i said i would do it, here it is. First you need to have the items you need for the installation

Depending on your setup, you will need either two eyelet bolts, and two L brackets- If you have a 4 PT harness, with all 4 parts having the c clips on themThose things^

Or simply two eyebolts- If your rear straps have the holes to be bolted in on them(not very commong, most have the clips like the above on all 4 parts)

eyebolts^

Ok....now the fun part

This is 240/silvia specific only.Find some eyebolts that thread into the rear mounting bolts for the seat. There is one that his horizontal on the console side, and one that is vertical on the driver side. Replace the bolt with the Eyebolt for your harness. Make sure its tight please. Go ahead and Clip in the lap belts there .

For your shoulder straps-put them through your seat/in the middle of your headrest/racing seat holes. whatever it is that you are putting it in, make sure when you put it through, you cross the harness straps. This is for safety reasons, i really dont feel like explaining, becuase this is an install, not philosophy.

Once they are crossed like this

bolt them down to the seatbelt mounting points behind your seat using either an eyelet bolt, or simply bolting them down (depending on style)

Now just so you know the reasoning behind the mounting points told here

those are the acceptable mounting angles for most competitive organizations. Follow it, its there for a reason

Make sure everything is tight, and if you have any questions let me know.I dont have any pictures of my actual car, Mainly because i dont use a harness on the street. When i go to the track, i switch my belt out for a harness, and remove it when i get home. I personally use a 5Pt RCI harness. if you want to know how to mount hte 5th crotch belt email me and ill let you know.

If you have any questions, let me know. ill be glad to help.

For those who do not know: if you happen to flip the car with a harness + no cage there is a much slimer chance of survival rather than with the stock seatbelt. The racing harness does not let you move your neck as much, so if you happen to flip you're pretty much dead

I agree with yokota...I wear my stock seat belt, the very few times I drive the car on the street, and on the track I usually put the harness on

Any chance you could take some pictures though? I'm looking for a way to stay strapped on my seat during the autox sessions, but go back to the stock belt on the street. I'm looking at the schroth harnesses right now. thanks.

So install the harness when you go to autox and take it out when you dont

This is cool now because you can now strap yourself firmly in to your death machine as you drift the corners.

Thank you Yokota! Exatcly the info I wanted, I'll go finish bolting up my 4 pt momentarily... I doubt Sparco will be approved by any organizations but it will make me feel safer, and together with the stock 3pt I should be aight.

I was going to say, I wonder how many tards are going to do this for their DDs. I wouldn't put in a harness unless I had a cage, and I'm not too sure that I would want a cage in a street car. Hitting your unprotected head on a cage is just as bad...

I remember a slew of gene pool contaminants on Honda-Tech running harnesses off of their strut bars. Nothing wrong with thinning the heard though haha...

I Actually have had my harness in my 240hatch for 4 years.but always use ur stock seatbelts when u drive outside of the track.if u use harness around street it will look chessy so use stock one ok.

I have a cage on my Hachi86 safety21, i drove it for 6 months everyday because I had to work n school. nothing wrong with that either, and police never cared. because my driving Outside of track is respectable to others

Agreed, if you must have a harness, try to retain the stock belts, or at least the lap belt portion for day to day. Not so sure I would feel safe with a harness and no bars on the track either though. Nothing wrong with a daily with a cage, but if you do happen to get into an accident, your average foam padding isn't going to save your head. There was some I remember reading about a couple years ago though that was supposed to be some leap forward, but I lost track of it. Some specially designed high density foam. Just don't use pipe insulation, you might as well leave them bare...
