Hello guys, I would appreciate if you can point me right direction. I do not have much access to a garage space so trying to collect as many info as possible before I get there So the problem is that my steering is a kinda too easy and I want to make it stiffer. I believe there must be some adjustment screw on the pump or something of that kind to reduce the pressure as of my understanding.

Thanks in advance.

All power steerings are belt driven. I had a similiar problem in a Chrysler I owned some years ago. The steering was loose and uncommuncative. Replacing the belt made by steering more responsive. Made the car fun again!.

However before you go ahead and change your power steering belt inspect the components of your steering system/front suspension components (i.e. condition of control arms, tension rods etc). They wear with age, faster with road salt. Sometimes changing those can make a huge difference.

Thanks Tyger,

The belt can be a problem - she is due for the "timing belt and stuff" project which I'm planning to undergo pretty soon (have got the kit already). So I will check how it works if the project is successful I was checking the rods visually today when she was up on the oil change and they looked fine. The tires are wearing evenly so the alignment should be ok. Actually the belts are squealing on startup so they are loose.
