It is pretty easy, actually. I have a set up in my M and love it!
There is a lever on the left hand side of the steering wheel ( a black plastic rod, if you will). At the end of that lever is a piece that twists; it has letters on it. I know that this is getting a little technical here, but if you follow these directions closely, you will do fine... try, delicately, to twist the end of the lever to a position where a word 'ON' lines up with a line on the static part of the rod. DO NOT continue to twist if you feel resistance. You will damage your car.
Voila, the lights will come on. And yes, you are welcome!
Lastly, I know that the process is extremely difficult and time consuming, but you will have to repeat it EVERY time it starts to rain.
