Lose some weight. Stop eating snitzels and stop drinking beer. Get some light weigt tires/rims. Put a turbo on it.

Check out our DIY section. You can find all kind of good stuff.

First is to get some ECU work done as the car is probably governed at that speed. For more power I would suggest SC or twin snails.

depends on what your looking to spend i personally thin turbos are too expensive and require too much work and maintence check out these motordyne engineering i say get a full intake , full exaust from headers all the way back try iso thermal plenium spacer , maybe a chip , some lighter rims tires and if your really crazy try to lighen up the car a litttle

Are you looking for top end speed? I am sure the car has a governor on it which is why it it stopping at 146(mph?). Also what BMW's are you trying to race? A G35 should be faster then 01-07 330. The G35 and the BMW have one issue and that is the gearing, they turn very high RPM's at highway speed. A 335 will be a little faster just do to the extra power they are putting down. The 135 is both lighter and more powerful over a G35. Most BMW's sports package are governed at 155mph. Give a little more info on what you are trying to achieve 0-60 or top speed?

wow i would love to push my G35x on the autobohn just one time, well maybe three...

sounds like a speed limiter to me... cause the g35x just keeps pulling past 135mph... i have never hit the governer yet... probably never will...

your obvious intake and exhuast mods will give you more top end... but of course the real power comes with FI.

but what ever you do please make sure you have tires that are rated for the speeds you are trying to achieve...

#1) Plenum spacer

#2) headers, HFC, exhaust

#3) Osiris Tune by UpRev - you can install it and run a few datalog sessions and email them. They can adjust a tune for your mods and send it back to flash onto your ECU. Probably your best option out there in Germany right now. It will eliminate your speed governor as well as free up extra power. It going to make use of all the mods you make too.

Let's not forget that he has an X and is limited on mods because of that.

I'd love to see a supercharged X, but haven't come across one yet.

Exhaust mods might be limited due to the lack of space around the transmission. The ATTESA system is a crazy beast.

If I remember correctly, the Auto is geared with a top speed of 170 or something like that. Must be the speed limiter.

He's more limited on suspension mods than anything. He can do intake, plenum spacer, headers, cats, and a full exhaust. With a tune it be great. Thats why the Osiris option with an email reflash will probably work best for him.
