eBay is your only other choice.

The lense itself is completely colored orange, so you have to completely replace that part of the lense. Unless you feel like experimenting w/ designing your own clear lense, you have to get a replacement from clearcorners, ebay, etc.

ah... i figured that it was just painted orange on the inside, and i could maybe use paint thinner to make it clear.... well... who knows, i'll have to get some from the junk yard the next time i go and do some experimenting!

always thought it would look good to just black out the part where the clear is on that picture or make it the color of the car

Alright, I'm into lights ... it's just my thing so I've actually thought alot about this and here's what you would need to make it OEM (roughly):

Buy a spare set of tails of ebay (make sure that the turn signal lenses are in PERFECT condition)

Carefully remove the lens from the tails either using the oven method or using a dremel to cut it out from the housing.

Go to http://www.alumilite.com and pick up some mold making material and clear casting resin.

Make a 2-part or squish mold of the original and then cast a copy using the clear resin

Reinstall the clear lenses in your existing tailights.

Sell the copies to 240sx owners for a killing and enjoy!

This is a email he sent me awhile back. I figure I'll save him the time and give him props.

So far they haven't started to leak and seem to be sealed. I have been out in the rain twice with them and they seem to be doing fine. I bought a 2x4 sheet of clear lighting paneling stuff from menards. Then I made a template and traced it out on the clear lighting panel. Took me a while to cut out clear lense with out cracking the entire sheet of clear lighting paneling. Then I sealed the lenses with silicone and clamped them down to seal over night. I clamped about 8 small hobby clamps on each light to set the lense. Then I went over the cracks again with silicone to make sure it was sealed for good. I have concidered making another set because I have a extra set of tails but its very time consuming. It is very hard sealing the lense because of the gap when you place the new lense in. I also had the break out the amber lense.

It wasn't too hard. I have since then have found some better stuff than the lighting paneling from menards but I found it at work and don't know where to get anymore. The key it to sealing it well. I'm just to busy to make another set of tails again and I own a S13 coupe and S14 not, my hatch was totaled a few months ago.

Also with that squish mold, the lense is slightly curved so it would be hard to get a mold out of it.

in that last picture, it looks as if they just completely removed the turn signal part of the tail lights... now to make that 'street legal' they would have had to do some rewiring so that the brake lights flashed (thus acting as a turn signal)... but who knows...

I don't know what it was about that car but it was so ****ing nice! I love the 300zx wheels on the S13. I was wanting to do that when I first got mine but I still havent gotten the 5-lug conv. yet. I also want to do the red/clear tails. But when I do it I want to lightly smoke the whole thing..I am going to do the same with my Maxima.

Thanks and yeah thats a honda emblem us to get all the local honda guys mad at me. I had to get races some how, alot of honda/acura crowd didn't want to race a turbocharged 240.
