and thats why I never bothered. Besides, it seems orange is coming back into style...i posted a thread the other week about this but it got no attention, the Titan for example has bigger orange reflectors than before...and i like it. if i could do clear corners easily i would, but its just not worth the hassle and the risk of having to replace themfueler wrote:well ive destroyed the other corner now too. i managed to get the reflector off but its stuck in the light now, along with a whole bunch of orange dust from breaking the reflector off. looks like ill have to bake it to get the crap out.
h my hand sliced open in about 5 spots too
That sucks man those things are damn expensive. Regarding the black plastic part that you described... are you talking about the rubber gasket? Cus that comes right off, and goes right back on just as easily. Otherwise, the only other black part is that decorative plastic outline thing, but it looks to be of the same material as the rest of the light. I just did mine with a heat gun and had no problems with any part of the light melting- I'd still be a little wary about popping them in the oven though. You should take advantage of that broken light and experiment with trying to pull it apart once you get your new one.fueler wrote: I dont think the QX4 corners would do well in an oven. Cause the edges have this black plastic part that overlaps the clear plastic, i pulled the corners out this weekend and decided that it would probably get all screwed up in an oven.PS i actually broke mine by hitting a fully loaded trash can about 30-35 mph
Coming back to style? Everyone should have there own, not jump from trend to trendQxxx4 wrote:

wait til i finish mine before you take them apart. It might be possible without the heat gun.Qxxx4 wrote:I might just take a shot at my corners with a heatgun, if i struggle i wont bother though lol not taking a risk

I have ported your instructions to PDF so that you may sell them on ebay:http://download580.mediafire.c...s.pdf
not as easy as it looks. one corner takes over an hour. i was coming close to baking them to get the reflector out. The downside of this method (vs baking) is that you WILL scratch up the inside. Not bad, but it wont be perfect anymore. The upside to this method is that the seal around the light remains untouched and perfect condition. Also you wont happy to worry about the corner lights fogging up.KyooX4 wrote:Yeah looks real easy for the pre-01 qx4s.
