My car has about 15 upgrades, and I want the kit to actually look good with my car. It isnt lowered, so I need to figure out how. I've read either to get new springs, or coilovers.Lev_96_240sx wrote:Well there is one important question you need to answer. What is the lowering for? What is the purpose of this car? If all you want is to slam your car, then you can probably do it with some spring. It will be cheaper than a coilover, probably not ride very well but look good to complement your body kit. Honestly if a body kit is the first upgrade you are looking to do on your car you will not get much love here.
If I get coilovers will I need to buy anything else along with them to make the job happen. Any other parts that need to be replaced or upgraded?rob912 wrote:DO NOT buy a body kit untill you buy coilovers and if you cant afford coilovers buy a nice spring and strut combo i think skunk lowering springs drop the lowest with like a 2 inch drop
could you elaborate, and explain. You are talking to a car noob here.rob912 wrote:you will need to get ruca's to fix the camber in the rear depending on how low you drop the car and thats about it

owner before me changed them, I'm not to happy about them but I really don't know how to put them old ones on there and have them properly mounted and all, cause they flip up and all. on my list of things to do.heartofaskyline wrote:wtf happened to your headlights
that is everyones solution to any body damage, overfenders.. overfenders require a changing of wheel size so it doesnt look stupid. its just more money to shell out, when you could just fix the damage and not have to spend money on new wheels.UndftdSole wrote:
take those lights off. get overfenders.
Yeah, I am one of those poorer americans, ever heard of them? That means I look for the cheapest route for things, although not always best.Which means.. I'm not going to get overfenders, just so I have to buy new wheels. I am sticking with what I have, and working with it.heartofaskyline wrote:well your wheel size currently sucks, so you need new wheels anyways....
overfenders + new wheels $> dent puller + bondoAZ89two4Tsx wrote:More expensive wheels would most likely be cheaper than fixing that body damage.
Move it to the top........Two Fowty wrote: on my list of things to do.
So to properly lower my car I need new ruca's and new coilovers. anything else?rob912 wrote:ruca's are rear upper control arms also known as wish bones. when you lower your car your wheels will start to lean inward and this will cause the inside of your tire to wear out quickly. ruca's are adjustable and will straighten out your rear wheels after the drop
haha, you need new quarter panels, bondo cant fix that, it would crack in 6 monthsTwo Fowty wrote:

you will need new wheels too. your offsets suck already and lowering it will only make it worseTwo Fowty wrote:
