how to know and find the bose CODE number after battery removal?

i removed the battery while working on the plenum and fuel pump. besides calling the dealer ( and charge the ownerfor $80 - $100 ---not sure how much but i am pretty sure the'll charge you), is there any other way you can have the codes for free?

Never had that problem, even with the OBD II 2000.
