I installed jspec rear ladder bar and JGY custom front ladder bar at the same time and this is a write up for the front. I also did a write up for the rear and this is it.

Front ladder bar is a direct bolt on without any modification, so there's not much to it, but I figured pictures would help a lot. I think this is also a copy of Do-Luck front ladder bar. I searched and found out that Do-Luck s13 front and rear bars have been discontinued. It came powder coated blue and with 4 bolts.

I compared it with jspec rear ladder bar side by side, and the JGY front bar has thicker bracket.

A local chrome plating shop gave me a real good deal, so I went ahead and did the chrome plating for it.

There's this thing sticking out from the plate and that'll go to the hole on the frame and you use one bolt on each side to install this bar. You will have to remove these plastic plugs from each side frame.

You put a bar in between the frames and turn this big nut in the middle to push the bars to left and right. This way brackets will seat on the frames tight.

And the bolt goes to this hole on each side.

That's about it. It clears everything, so there's no clearance issue. Your oil pan will hit something first before this ladder bar.

Sweet on the chrome plating man! Nice write-up! I put this exact bar on when I did my front suspension awhile back, it definitely helped to stiffen the front. I did notice a slight increase in noise/vibration though but thats to be expected with a stiffer front. Nice!!!!

works for hatches? Would this get in the way of a nismo power brace?

nwmrkt,Yes, this will fit on s13 hatch back. This bar seats way behind Nismo power brace. To be exact, this will be right below where engine meets transmission which is right next to steering rack.

positronone,I wish they painted it with some plain grey or black paint. That blue was just ugly. I just made some phone calls and one of the local shops gave me real good deal, so I couldn't refuse. Turn around time was fast too. 48 hours.
