Super-engineered... but in cooperate world... we like fewer parts... it cost less to produce and manufacture... your design... but economized...

My "Handling" contraption, it took some fine tuning to get it timed right but it works.

If you build certain connections that would not normally move, apparently, it builds up a lot of compression energy, sorta like a spring, that can get suddenly released and result in unexpected motion.

The "water" rods are somewhat springy basically and do allow a bit of compression and tension along their length.
