Does anyone know what i need to do install an S14 turbo on a CA? I found a turbo manifold from SS autochrome that mounts to the T28? Is it easier to install a S15 T28?

It's all exactly the same.

they all use a t2 flange (t25, s14 t28, s15 t28), all SR turbos have to be clocked slightly to clear the stock manifold. If you use an SSAUTO manifold, you probably won't have to clock it, but to be honest, its real easy to clock the turbo. Get a big set of snap ring pliers and you can do it in afew minutes

Are there any instructions anywhere on how to do this?I'm replacing my T25 with a T25G.Does it only apply to people using the stock intake elbow from the SR turbo?i.e. if I fab something up so that I can connect direct to the inlet the same way my CA does will I not need to clock it?

nope, have to clock it to physically fit the turbo under the manifold... I'll take pictures later

The outlet on the compressor housing sits too "upright" and needs to be turned till it points to about 2o'clock.

So i can run an S15 bb turbo on the ss autochrome manifold? Do the lines still have to be extended?

what lines? I'm running an S14 turbo on the SS mani and I just used the stock CA lines and had no problems whatsoever. The S15 fits exacly the same.

yep, stock lines fit fine with SR turbos... use a stock compressor outlet and the stock hotpipe works too

oh this is great. I heard that to run a SR turbo on the CA requires modifying the lines.

Not at all. If you do get an SR O2 pipe or down pipe you'll have to modify them, or buy them both. If you try and mix them with the stock CA stuff, it won't line up. (Or so I've heard on multiple occasions)

okay, so as long as i get an SR turbo, SR dump pipe and SR downpipe, everything should work out perfectly(or with little modification)?

yep. the downpipe comes really close to the frame rail (mine rattles sometimes) but if you wrap it in header wrap (that fiberglass stuff) you won't hear the rattle, and everything will work fine

I got a flyn dumpipe from Austrailia that fits perfectly and clears everything and it's all one peice. The drawback to it is that the oval flange on the end of it isn't turned the right way and so I had to cut and reweld my test pipe to get it to work. Not a bit deal, but it still kinda sucked.

i put on my coilovers last week, now my downpipe sits like 1-2in from the ground. im running a t25 manifold from SSautocrap, and the hks style o2 exstention. its too low, im goin to have to cut the down pipe and raise it up into the frame rail and chassis area or else ill break somthing..

next i have to put on my full exhaust and see if its got enough clearance.. fringers are crossed.

Yea, that Flyn dumppipe can barely be seen from the side of the car when you're down low. It's a great peice, you've got to use an O2 sensor from a Z31 turbo, and the flange is slightly mis-rotated, but both are easy fixes.

Float, did you have to clock the turbo with the SS manifold?

The exhaust hangs low because switching to a turbo from an SR isn't a perfect fit. I guess it's the turbine housing that is different, the outlet is set at a different angle and causes the problem. Or that's my take on it. All can be fixed with cutting and welding.

the manifold puts the turbo in a different spot in the engine bay... exhaust housings on the turbos are identical. Ifyou had a CA o2 housing and downpipe it would all fit fine.
