Yep this is as noob as it gets. Just got my zenki SE lip, but curious as to these weird looking brackets I got with it. I was planning on just ziptying it to my bumper, what are the brackets for?

I searched but couldn't find anything like this lol

Here ya go bub ... sorry for the stretch! Those brackets help with rigidity. Hope this helps.

oh so the brackets go through the bottom of the bumper, through the lip, and i just put a nut on the bottom of the screw...oh i get it now it makes sense. Is this better then ziptying it? I'm pretty low so I will be scraping it and I don't want to snap it lol

I'm also fairly low in the front, and I've scraped it a few times on bumps and such. Zip ties will break easier (thus why most drifters use them on their bumpers in case of inadvertent ditching of the tarmac), and it's faster to remove and install too. For street though, the brackets and bolts will prevent air flow from getting inbetween the lip and bumper; keeps the lip tight and flush to the bottom of the bumper much better. Would you rather scrape the lip a bit or run it over?
