I had bought an OEM front license plate bracket for my M37 from a member here. I'm just now getting around to installing it. It has a few bolts and some clips that look similar to anchors.

Does anybody have a quick reference so I can install this correctly?

Does your bumper have the holes already? If so, the white anchors go into them and then the screws screw in through the bracket into the white anchors. Then you have other screws for the plate itself.

Nope, no holes. What size drillbit is needed or should I just eyeball it against the anchors?

New OEM bumpers should have "(X)" markings on the back showing where to drill the holes. You just have to be sure you drill the US market bracket holes, not the Japanese ones.

For an already mounted bumper, I say skip drilling holes and find another way like discussed HERE.

If you REALLY want to drill holes and don't want to pull the bumper I say use a tape measure to find the center of the bumper. Painters tape will allow you to easily mark the spot with a sharpie. Then you can measure the distance of the holes needed, center to center, mark them on the bumper using the center line as a halfway point, and drill. Cover everything with painters tape to prevent a slipped drill bit or another unforeseen occurrence from scratching your bumper.

I have never installed a from plate bracket (Cali cars always come with them dealer installed) but if I was forced to this is how I would do it.

What's the difference between Japanese and US market holes on the bracket? I don't see any specific labels.

I think the holes are wider based on the US install guide and the "do not using" marks. Maybe they are just extra marks not used anywhere. :gotme

Thanks Debonair. These instructions were exactly what I was looking for. Made it a cinch. Overall, took about 12 minutes.

If anyone comes in this thread and is looking for a OEM front plate mount I have mine somewhere, you'd just need to pay for shipping.

Hi Biggie, I just recently purchased a M37 and my state requires a front plate.
Do you still have your bracket available?

Yes I do, just have to find it (still in process of unpacking after moving). And make sure its not the one from my wife's QX56. Believe I have ones from 2-3 different Infinitis.

Awesome. There's no rush and I know moving can be stressful, so just let me know when you find it please.
and just to check, do you know if it will fit an M37 just the same?

Thanks for replying and checking, I appreciate it!

Ok I'll look by this weekend hopefully.

Pretty sure the bumpers should be the same in that area.

Hey biggie, hope you're all moved in without issues. Did you get a chance to look for the license plate bracket?

Forgot.

I'm off tomorrow, I'll set a reminder to myself to find it.
