Could someone tell which color the wire in the rear tail lights is the RUN light and which color is the BRAKE light since I am going to add a rear LED strip under the rear lift hatch and want it to be a run/brake. Thanks

More leds. I wanna share with you guys my impression. On monday I installed some leds inside of the car but I replaced cheap reversed lights from ebay with 8 watts led lights from vleds.com What a difference it makes. For everybody who complained about light in the back should definitely get these (but they're not cheap at all). Also I got led license frame on the back and now I can see the whole driveway even my neighbor's fence in the back. Too bad my camera is not that good to show you how good the lights are.

Leds rock! but if you buy expensive ones with most leds on it otherwise you will end up with poor manufacturing and thinking that original halogen lights a lot better.

I recently made this upgrade as well. Put in the most expensive LED's from V-LED's for my map lights, dome light, back-up lights, and license plate light. I love the difference they make. I really liked the LED license plate lights because they would light up the ground behind my Rogue--helpful for when I was leaving my friend's house and it was pitch black and I had to close his gate on my way out. The brighter back-up LED's help with my 20% tint. Though, I do have to roll down my windows sometimes.
Oh, and I got red LED's for my dome light. :P

What is the part number for the back-up lights? Specifically the bulbs that go behind the clear circular lenses. And how much? I wish to do that upgrade. :wavey:

The back-up bulb type is 921.
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Park ... 9-1-2.html those are the bulbs I put in my Rogue. (and I believe the same ones Leo just swapped in)

There's a few people on this forum replaced them for led or chrome bulb. I have 92 leds dual color. They're white when on and amber when the turn signal is flashing. Of course for the turn signal it was the same story that I had to get resistor.http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn ... 9-1-2.html

If you are planning to upgrade to LEDs, never buy cheap ones.

I have installed front two and rear two signal lights today and I don't have problems with dimming radio. I have both 60 ohms resistors placed at rear on both side. The front two I am using are straight amber color. But I do have a Dual color I could put in and give a test and it flashes like machine gun. The thing right now I am having problems is the brake light which I burned the fuse already. Apparently I tried the trick to twist the wire on the 7443 led's and it didnt' work. I have to change back to OEM's bulb for now. I checked V-LED today and they now include two socket type for 7443 models (one is standard and one is ck type) . I don't have the probe to test but I remember seeing somewhere in forum with the photos of the 7443 sockets. Anyone know which one is the Rogue's ?

It's CK. Last time I replaced them with these and did not have to modify anything http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-Bulb ... 48888.html

Also I just noticed my third brake light isn't working after the twist
but I replaced a fuse resistor on the Tail Lamp fuse. Wierd...

Went to maintenance today, in the mean time after changing to LED the VDC & brake somehow failed and gives hegitation. Service technician recommend revert back to original since it gives lots error codes. He checked and replace brake fuse but when I drove home the VDC lights on again. Not sure if its because I didn't put resistors for both front. I just wish I could put in an eletronic flasher for the Rogue

I was installing resistors from local autozone on all 4 turn signals. I don't know about ohm on these because they even call them equalizers but I have no problems at all: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... ier=862778

I think you mean 6 ohm right? if it is 6 ohm resistor, you will need 2 on the front, and 2 on the rear. If you get the 3 ohm resistor, you only need one for left side and one for right side, either front of rear. 3 ohm provides higher resistance (cause it is for 2 led bulbs, one front one rear) so it will be hotter (watch where you mount).
Also, when you are using regular 7443 led bulb for rear turn signal, and you do the twist thing, make sure you use a 9v battery to test and make sure you are putting in at the right side. If you do the twist and put it in the wrong way, it will burn the fuse. (It happens to me  )

Zeng: I just checked and I have the 6 ohms one and only on rear, maybe that's why. For the 7443 brake I think I will hold to oem until I get the v-led's ck type And yes, twist and burn is no fun at all

leo: yeah I will try to install the 2 more 6 ohms on front to see how things went, and maybe go back sometime later to service department to check again

update, the VDC went off after I go back home and was going to add the two resistors to the front. But found out that the front hood is jammed so I couldn't open the engine hood. Had to go back to service department and get it crank open. Also noticed my stop light fused got burned also

If your fuse keep on burn out, it is possible that you wired/twist something wrong. You should remove the led light until you find the issue

I got these 7W backup bulbs...insanely bright. Projects the beam more towards the back and sides, looks like xenon bulbs.

Big_C thanks for posting the link to those. Great bulbs, I contacted the seller, they are out of stock on them as of now, but will be getting them back in shortly. I ordered the LP bulbs from them as well.

Finally got a chance to install my back up bulbs and LP lights. The LP lights were easy, but I could not get the assembly off for the reverse lights. For some reason no matter how hard I pushed on that inside screw it didn't move an inch. I even tried tapping it with a hammer. NO LUCK! Any advice? And I this has nothing to do at all with lighting, but I also attempted to replace me serp belt (which I have done many in the past not a real brainy job...but I could not get a crows foot or a socket around the tension pulley. What a pain? Anybody attempt this yet and have any pointers or tricks? Thanks

with that light, prepare for a tug of war lol. the foam pad on the light is stuck to the metal. i had to use a mallet on the studs to force it out. (dont hit to hard, or you will blast off the studs)

its almost as if the light has the sticky 2-sided foam to hold it on, aside from the bolts. just keep carefully pushing.
