How to install cams

Need to replace my stock cams back and when I did the chain was so tight it would not turnQuestions:

1) how do you tell the Exhaust from the Intake cam 2) do the arrows on the cam caps point toward the front or back of the car 3) Any trick of the trades way of installing the cams easily.

exhaust cam will usually say exhaust and intake will say "in"they'll install only one way, hole side goes to the frontinstalling cams are easy, just use zip ties to secure the chain to the cam sprockets.
