I know I saw a post in here on this, but I can't seem to find it anywhere (on a side note - it's very annoying that you can't narrow the google search to a particular forum).

Anyway, I'm hoping one of you experts can point me to a link with instructions on how to "add" the cabin air filter to my PF.

Thanks!

The 02 Pathy doesn't come factory equipped with cabin filters.Installing them is a piece of cake. I put in a set this summer. All you need to remove is the glove box. The air box is right behind it.If this is a new install, then you have to remove the knockouts. Then the filters slide in, one above the other.Have fun.

Fueler, I'm in SW Escondido, and yes I'm trying to add them new. It does not have a cabin filter now.

I take it for parts, I just get the QX4 filters for my model year, right? It sounds pretty easy. I think I'll go pull the glove box this morning and take a look.

Found some useful info from the board.

Filter install instructions here:http://www.courtesyparts.com/i....html

Pics here:zerothread/289709

BUT, just got back from Escondido Infiniti and parts is telling me they don't have the clip, don't have a part in the system for it, and that it may need a door to go over the filters to properly seal the unit.

From the pics, I see a metal clip but no additional door. Anyone else actually completed this on their PF?

^^ the OEM filters already come with the clips. im 100% sure of that cause i replace them every time and i just throw away the old ones (the new ones are always stronger) and no there is no door, what you see in the second link you provided is the ends of the filters. There is one clip on bottom and one clip on top. Again, the filter comes with the clips. Curious - how much did infiniti esco quote u for the filter?

Infiniti Escondido quotes $34.95 for both filters, but there was no metal clip in the box. He says I'm the first one to ever come in and ask how to do this.
