How to install an antennae

My antennae to my 94' vert has broken and i need to replace it and i don't know how to remove the old one to replace it with the new one so if anyone has any information they would like to share with me, it would be greatly appreciated because im trying to impress my dad (BiXLL) by fixing things myself.

power or manual? if its like mine, i just took it off when i shaved it. there is a big nut on the top of the antenae, on the fender. it sandwiches the rest in. pull the nut, then the series of washers after and pull it out the bottom. easy as cake.
