The biggest plug on the radio is which you're going to play with. First of all you will need 2 RCA converters:http://m2.sourcingmap.com/smap/images/i ... 8_ux_c.jpg in order to connect radio output to the amp. Then you will have to cut the wires and connect each of them to the proper location. Connect wires that goes from the radio to RCA converters and RCA cables will go to the same RCA input on amp where it says front - rear. For the output 4 channel speaker on the amp you will have to connect wires that go straight to the speakers. I don't remember which one goes where but will be able to tell you only in the evening since I already installed it a while ago.

That amp appears to have high level speaker inputs. If that's the case, you do not need RCA converters. Simply tap into the existing speaker wires.

The bigger question is what speakers do you plan to power with the amp? Subwoofer? Replacement door speakers? Simply adding the amp to power the factory speakers doesn't net you anything. The stock speakers cannot handle any more power than the factory radio can deliver.

You do not seem very familiar with automotive 12V electrical systems and car audio. I do not suggest doing this yourself. Since I am not a car audio expert, I cannot make recommendations on what you should purchase. Perhaps try our car audio forums for advice:

Or talk to a local car audio store and see what they recommend for speakers and wiring.

Thank you, but what do you mean with this "Simply tap into the existing speaker wires."??

I implied that you could simply connect the amplifier inputs to the existing speaker wiring.

If you are not familiar with how to properly connect a car audio amplifier, then I strongly suggest you seek help from a car audio installer/shop. If you get it wrong, you will damage both the radio and your new amp which could be a very expensive repair.

Hi WillyRogue... I sure don't want to try and discourage you... and I admire your courage to undertake such a project! But... as philipa_240sx has alluded to... I'm afraid, based on your questions, this amp install may be a little over your head. In addition to things like the rated wattage / Watts (power) you also need to consider things like amperage (current - Amps) and what cabling you will need to handle the calculated load as well as sufficient grounding. Wiring the components into the existing system also requires you to understand factors like impedance values so you can wire the speakers correctly depending on whether you are installing a Mono system, 2 Channel, 4 Channel etc, or if you will need to bridge the load etc. Ideally you should match the rated power of the amp to the sub. Unfortunately, considering the complexity of the install, combined with your level of experience, it would be near impossible for any of us to step you through the entire installation. That said, there are some good tools available online that can help.

To start... check out these online videos that take you through and amplifier and subwoofer installation at a high level:
Amplifier Installation Video

Also, as philipa_240sx indicated... you will need a subwoofer or different speakers as the stock speakers will not handle the amp output.

As to the wiring of your amp and speakers check out this link. It has 3 columns of data depending on what type of amp you have (Mono, 2 channel, 4 channel) and impedance value of your system.

Last... for a novice like yourself (or even an experienced installer) I HIGHLY suggest purchasing an output converter (or at a minimum) a wiring harness adapter. These aftermarket options GREATLY simplify adding equipment to your vehicle as well as reduce the complexity of wire spicing into the existing wiring system.

Maybe something as simple as a case of beer might encourage one of your more technical friends to do the installation for you :dblthumb:

I was just replacing the grills on rear doors with JL speaker grills and found that actually the wiring colors are different from what I got near the radio. Now I wonder if Nissan connected 2 different wires together or is there some kind of switch. For example wires that were going from stock radio I marked OEM and aftermarket harness is AM:
OEM_________________________AM
blue/stripe____12V switched____red
light blue stripe_LR - _________ green/black
violet_________LR+___________green
green_________LF+___________white/black
red___________LF-___________white
yellow________12V constant____yellow
orange_______RF+____________grey
white________RF-____________grey/black
blue_________RR+____________violet
pink_________RR-____________violet/black
But when I get to the rear right speaker it is actually grey and yellow wires. Now which one is - and +?
