I searched.however It's a 35mm tial wategate, there are two outlet(port) from the wastegate, one is from the top , one is on the side? which one I should hook up to the boost (turbo side) (i also have a 300zx turbo) do I just hook it back up to there(to the turbo) or I should put the line in to the INtake manifold? I heard one of them is for boost controller? I don't have one for now?what should I do with it? leave it alone?

The boost reference point for the wastegate is the one on the side. The top is a customer vacuum source, so you can run a boost gauge or whatever off of it.

The line from the turbo will work just fine, you want the vacuum hose to be as short as possible.

When you get a boost controller, it connects in between the turbo and the wastegate. Hope that helps...

thanx

I installed my Boost gauge line in to the intake manifold? would that work as well? can I just leave it as open or I should put something to it?

can I put that BOV line to the top of the wastegate port?

You would probably get horrible response...put your bov where your gauge is and move ur gauge to the w/g

Hmmm... never heard of that. Wouldn't this cause problems with the wastegate opening?

Anyway, the side port is the boost signal. It's best to connect it near the compressor outlet. Some of the turbonetics turbos have a port for it on the compressor housing, but I'm guessing the 300zx turbo hasn't. Wasn't it internally gated?

The top port is used with electronic boost controllers. The signal for this is taken near but before the TB and routed to the top port through the EBC solenoid. If not using an EBC then leave it open.

If using a manual boost controller then yes, the controller goes inline to the side port.

Connect the wastegate signal to the side port. Leave the top open.

As far as where to get the signal from, any point in the intake where it sees boost is fine. A source at or near teh compressor will result in faster response to boost. This means it will start opening the wastegate sooner and is the safest set-up. Sourcing it at the intake manifold will result in the quickest boost response as the wastegate will open later. It will basically spool the turbo slightly faster. But it's more prone to slight boost spikes just as it hits peak boost. This can heat up the intercooler faster. If your I/C is big enough, it should not be much of a concern. At 6.5 psi, mine doesn't have any spikes that I can tell just from watching the boost gauge.

my mbc came w/ instructions that said to T off of the wastegate/boost hose. you connect the hose you T'd off to one side of the mbc and run a hose out the other side of the mbc. where do you run this hose? does it go back into the intake before the turbo?

Whoa...no, no, no.

WD, have you gone mad??? :pface

The top port on a TiAL is ONLY used for an electronic boost controller...

It won't show proper boost if you use a gauge there, and may affect the WG opening, causing a boost spike or overboost, and blowing things up.

If you are running an MBC or no boost contoller, LEAVE THE TOP PORT OPEN. Do not use it for the BOV, do not use it for the gauge...
