how to install a stock VLSD from a silvia to a 91 240sx

can any one teach me how to install a vlsd from a silvia that i got from a surplus shop here to my 91 240sx i got the whole rear assembly so im guessing that i ve got all the stuff to install it the only problem now is how do i start what do i do first

take the diff out and put the new one in

Sorry, Im no comedian so I'll stick to nissans. Anyway, you will want to do the following, in no particular order.

- Undo the axles from the diff- Undo the driveshaft from the trans. NOTE: In order ot do this, you may have to undo the center bearing bracket so yo ucan slide the driveshaft foreward.- PLACE JACK UNDER DIFF- Remove the 4 fasteners hold it to the subframe. 2 up front, 2 out back on the subframe. - Slide diff foreward and remove from car

after half a day and a ton of sweat i was able install my vlsd, and its runninng perfectly thanks again. and do you happen by chance know the final gear ratio on the vlsd?

It all depends what model you used.
