how to install a spoiler?

I am looking to buy a wangan wing. I will be picking it up this weekend as it's being painted at the moment.

I do however have a little problem, you see, I don't have any holes on my trunk as I have already swapped my rusted hatch. I would hate to have to drill holes in my trunk, mainly becausse I want to be able to take it off and also because the fear of missing the hole when drilling. I was wondering if I Can hold the thing down with the 5lb 3m tape? Another thing I noticed is that on the wing it has a foam seal around it. Should I stripe it off as it might trap water there?

no.. do'nt take the seal off, it prevents water from getting into your trunk...

any kind of adhesive is NOT a good idea. I don't care if it's 3m, cement epoxy, super glue, duct tape - don't do it, unless you want to be picking up pieces of your spoiler off the road once the hold breaks and it goes flying off and shattering pretty much...

i took my spoiler off now i need something to fill the holes with...i also want a wangan spoiler those look so awesome!!

if your gonna put a spoiler on i suggest you drill holes and properly install it. itll go flying off. my carbon fibre gt spoiler shakes at high speeds
