how to install a rear upper strut bar in a 97 240sx???

hi, i recently purchased a rear upper strut bar for my 97 240sx.........i have no idea how to install, i got an explanation from a customer who had purchased the same bar for his 240.....does anybody have pictures of the bar installed in their car? because i still cannot figure out how the bar would go on the strut being that it seems to be surrounded by protective plating from the car.....
