How to install a new cigarette lighter under the dash?

How can I install a new cigarette lighter under the dash that only is active when the car is on?

I know I have to come from a wire that is green and yellow or something... But how do I build a fuse in and all of that stuff?

why dont you just wire it in directly to the fuse block?

Could I use 18 gauge wire for that?

How simple is that, just pull the fuse block out, and crimp the wire to the existing wire?Would that kill any of the juice going to it??
