So what do you guys think?

I thought to get stance gr+ three coilovers and largus front and rear swaybars. All multilink with pillowball.

However then I saw different setups that people run and they are not 'all out' but, do fairly well.

Road handling and road holding are two different things.

For instance if I were to make the swaybars so thick, it might make the road holding less am I not correct? Too stiff it means it would have less vertical load?

I don't know... I need some advices here.

I remember reading one setup with FLT JIC coilovesrs and softer springs and just whiteline swaybars front stiffest and rear softest, the guy ran 1.0G in cornering (left and right continuously not just a peak).

However I don't know how his road holding was.

So these are the two factors one has to keep in mind road holding and road handling.

A setup with largus sways may have no roll and be ultra stiff, and ultra go kart responsive, but it may lose road holding.

The thing that got me thinking was my father's ford taurus. We put 225/50/ZR16 good year eagle f1 gs-d3 tires and he was able to corner at 100km/hr-110km/hr on exit ramps.. thats amazing road holding, no sound almost of tires, I was worried to go any faster, it's a fwd heavy *** car.

It can road hold as well if not better than my 240.. I run stock swaybars (non-abs HICAS rear swaybar, the abs HICAS is slightly thicker and both are thicker than non-hicas model), all polyurethane whiteline bushings, and kyb agx with stechs dialed in at 3/4, and 6/8.

I want to make a progressive plan and direction in other words a good goal as to what I'm doing, and to not waste money.

So running largus swaybars front and rear and stance gr+ three coilovers (the ones with external oil tank) and all pillowball solid endlinks, might or might not be a good deal, so I don't know...

If I make it too flat and stiff it might not have as much grip...

Get the stickiest tires you can.

This thread belongs in Suspension forum.

Weight of your vehicle also matters a lot, especially how stiff the springs and struts will have to be to support it.

I have a stripped interior, it turns in and responds much better now. I want to get a roll cage as well soon. I wonder how much I will see of a difference after it on the s13.

Im not sure what the Tauras has to do with anything. But, tires have 10x more of an effect on the skidpad than suspension mods do (when you speak of the guy who pulled 1g). That should be your number one concern at this point. Also, if youre worried about rough roads, dont run a 17 or 18 inch wheel. Id stick with 16's so your sidewall can absorb some of the impact of daily driving while still staying firmly planted on the road. Plus sized wheels have smaller sidewalls and will skip and hop over bumps more easily than a tire with a bigger sidewall.

With your whole road holding ideas, are you refering to the tendencies of an ultra stiff suspension to skip and hop over rough roads or what? You kind of lost me. Just remember that most coilovers are tuned on completely smooth race tracks, not bumpy roads that we all drive on everyday. Regardless of that, coilovers and sway bars are going to drastically improve your handling regardless of your road holding thoughts.

After 15 some years of abuse, all of your bushings are probably shot as well. Id start there, as well as basic body stiffeners (strut bars, fender braces, power brace, etc.) and if its still not stiff enough a bolt in cage should be the next step.

Please clarify further if you have any other questions.

I don't understand just what the question is here?
