RIF:
I have a 1990 240sx. Check my original post.
It has a dual cam KA24.
I asked what I thought is a simple fundamental question in the TECH forum; re: identifying markings. I still have not received a reply to that question.
In the meantime, I found bosch platinum plugs FR8DPX (I hate bosch ignition components) in my motor, so I removed them. I also noted that the equivalent plug for ngk is BCPR5ES-11 (according to this site:
http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/p...2.htm).
I couldn't get ngk's or short notice, so I went with denso ugrove's: p/n K16GPR-U11.
I'll let you guys know how it goes.....
Although I think I found the misfiring problem - plug wire #3 isn't ngk like the other three... and it isn't firing at all when I tested it... so back to the store tomorrow for new plug wires... :/
fyi, denso also lists at least two different plugs for the ka (I only checked a couple of years on their site):
1998: K20R-U11 or PK20R11 or IK201990: K16GPR-U11
