i was wondering if there was any way to take out or change the light bulbs in the dome light/spotlight from the front seat. the ones that point dwn to the driver and to the passenger?

I've seen led boards like that before for dome replacement, I just thought it wouldn't work as good. Hmmm

sorry to thread jack but is there a write up on a overhead LED "mood" type light? one thats over the center console thats not as bright but stays on and gives a glow like what came in the J30???

Not yet but you could change that

FWIW, I still love my interior lights to death and can't imagine going back to the crap stock lights. I'm wayyy to used to it now, and it's awesome.

you may be able to attach a variable resistor in line with the circuit and have a little dial knob to adjust the brightness of the lamp. i see in mercedes that they have push button selectors. there may be something like that at radioshack.

Red will actually help to maintain your "night vision" . Cops use red lights in their cruisers around here in BC so their night vision is not ruined. I believe its illegal to have your interior lights a color other than white, in Canada.
