Your headunit should already be able to power the speakers in the car, so why that amps there i have no idea. Somethign that small can't put much power out anyway. Find out if its a 2 or four channel amp. Locate which are the speaker wires and find the speaker wires coming off the head unit. See what he's done with them if they are just sitting out open. Cut the wires to the amp, and either remove them or wrap them up with electrical tape, keeping the speaker wires untaped, then extend them with some wire up to the center console and to their appropriate places on the head unit. Ummm if the situation is different tell us and i'm sure we can figure it out.

well i had the sony deck that he had installed, taken out, and i had my current alpine unit installed at circuit city (hey it was free.) and my alpine is running through the amp, because when i played around and un-plugged the amp there was no sound. no sound at all. :(

Sony used to make a little tiny 4 channel amp the size of a pack of cigarettes. It could be a one of those, but it is really unneccesary, if you have a new alpine. Let's see it we'll help you get it out. Other wise it could be a small 2 channel that has all four speakers wired in paralell to the 2 channels of output.

Hmmmmm. I'm thinking it is probably a two channel. how many output terminals does it have, (4, two Pos, two Neg)? if so then yup it is a two channel. Do you have fader control or does it just cut sound off when you adjust fader front to back? are their RCAs plugged in or is it High level input?
