So I have a slight dilema. Ive finished doing my motor swap and now I essentially have half of a silvia sitting in my driveway. Ive been trying to get rid of it, but every junk place seems to want to much to dispose of it. I just got a notice from my town that Im in violation of some abandonded vehicle law and that I have to get rid of the clip within 10 days or Ill get fined 1000dollars a day after that. My stupid town seems to have some law against having non functioning cars sitting on property...So the question is, how did everyone else get rid of their clips after their swap????

I just took mine tot he same place where I take used motor oil and all my other hazerdous junk - a little wooded area next to the children's play yard.

hint: borrow or rent a saw and take the pieces to a recycling place. or just dispose of it piece by piece on a daily basis into corporate dumpsters or the ones behind acme.

I guess my idea of waiting for the clip to decay in my backyard wont work lol. I guess Ill go to the hardware store tommorow and pick up a sawzall. Ill cut that thing into small pieces and throw it out piece by piece.

Wouldn't it just be easier to haul the thing down to the scrap yard? How much are they asking to get rid of it?

I got a notice too, damn city... what I did with mine was put it in the garage and cut it to about 3 foot chunks using a sawzall. After about 3 hours and a gazillion cuts from the damned glass, it was done. I just then disposed of it a peice at a time and eventually it's gone.

Call a recycling yard or scrap metal yard. They will actually give you $5 for it. Just make sure you tell them that there are no liquids left in it.

Don't you guys have recycling places? I mean there is a place 20min from me that pays like $100 for scrap cars (prices are based on weight of course).
