So the other day I noticed I was leaking some oil, upon further inspection I noticed the lines running from the block of my engine to the remote oil filter and oil cooler where torn and leaking. I thought simple, replace the lines and good to go, but I can't for the life of me remove the lines that are screwed into the block. What tool would I need/how do I do this? I have tried using crowsfoot flare wrenches, but it only spins since the first part is a swivel fitting. Someone please help, I miss my car, and need it since it is my daily.

Hey, sorry no one has gotten back to you on this. I guess we don't know. I'd imagine that there is a thin nut below the pivoting first part and you'd need your wrench or socket to engage that area, closer to the surface of the engine. At least, that is what I see in photos. Perhaps you have decorative sleeves over your lines and need to pull those back?

Thanks so much for the feedback, I was able to get them off by dremelling the first nut down a 16th of an inch so I could slide the smaller wrench past it. Took about 6 hours but they're all off. Now to get a new relocation kit that isn't junk.

Ah, glad you got them off! Are you just going to relocate the filter or will you add a cooler and thermostat as well? Circuit sports at FR Sport seems more affordable that the Greddy model. But Greddy model may have ports for adding sensors. I am unclear on the details since I haven't done this on my car and only looked really quick. Summit Racing may have a generic kit. I'd read reviews before making a selection.

PS - Welcome to the forums. I don't know if you found it already, but you can download your FSM from the website (see service manuals at the top of the web page).

I have ordered the circuit sports relocation kit, and mishimoto oil cooler, thermostat, and lines. I had an oil cooler on previously but it wasn't very good, and like I said the lines were Swiss cheese lol. So I am just replacing the whole thing to be sure all the fittings match up and this goes as smoothly as possible. Thanks for all the support!
