Ok i took out the plate inside the bellhousing and the snapring thats on the shaft that goes in the engine. Also all the bolts inbetween the bellhousing and the gearbox. But i can't seem to get the bell housing apart. Do i have to unbolt the 20ish? or more mm bolts that lay on the side near the shifter?

I wouldnt think so...they are probably the cenering mechanism from the shifter....why are you opening your transmission up? there is very little you can do with out some serious equipment....the bell house should just bolt up to the rest of the case, it might just need a good wack with a rubber mallet.BTW should be some stuff in the factory servis manual about it, click link in my sig

yeah i followed everything in the fsm. I'm not taking the cover off the gearbox. I need to take the bellhousings off becuase i'm swaping them(ka to ca). I'm going to try to put the bellhousing face down with a block of wood on the shaft and see can i hammer it off.
