I haven't been able to get any heat out of the heater and having ran the diagnostic on climate control system with no faults found, I want to look at the heater air mix door to see if the posts are broken. The FSM shows it's behind the center console but it doesn't give any info on what to remove to get access to it. I assume the stereo and possibly the climate control panel need to be removed. Having never done that, is there a trick to it? Can I check the door posts any other way? Thanks in advance.

As far as has been posted on here before, the dash comes out.

This is so the owners of the later cars would not miss out entirely on the chain guide replacement labor expense.

Your kidding right? There is no other way to get behind the dash than remove it?

Did I mention I have a Dremel tool?

I'm goin' in...

One way you can see if the door works is to listen for it. Mine makes a clunk sound when it swiches over from high to low.
