Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Can I just unbolt the inner bushing areas (2) and unbolt the 3 triangular placed bolts on the lower bolt joint and take the whole control arm off?

First place to research a task is the FSM (Factory Service Manual) that's available for download in the 'General Information and FAQ' sticky thread above. It will have basic instructions, requisite instructions, and torque specs for reassembly. I print those pages.

I then use the search engine above and read through all threads and posts related to the task, cutting and pasting relevant info into a word doc and print. You'll be surprised at how often one little tidbit can save you half an hour of frustration.

Replacing the front pressed-in bushing with split-design poly will be the same as replacing rear bushings with split-design poly, research how that is best done.

Yes. This is how I took mine off. Very easy. Just remember to torque everything with the full weight of the vehicle on the ground, and of course get a wheel alignment.
