Early this year I went to Nismo 740CC injectors for my SR20DET and after a lot of troubleshooting I've found that after a month of driving injector heat soak affects the pintle ends causing an uneven spray pattern and burn on a couple of cylinders at a time. It makes the plugs look rich but in reality it's just resulting in unburnt fuel to pass through the system. My temporary fix is pulling out the fuel rail and spraying the injector tips with contact cleaner and everything is back to normal. I need to know how to fix or prevent this issue so I don't have to keep pulling my fuel rail off.

My theory is the heat soak causes the hot fuel vapor when turning off the car to form a residue on the injector tips affecting the spray pattern. Any tips or info would be great.

I've been playing with SR's for 16 years and I have never run into that. I've never heard of this being an issue before, not with 500cc or 740cc injectors. Sorry and good luck!
