ive got these brakes. ive come to the conclusion that they suck ***. ive locked them up twice comming to red lights, and its not like i have bad tires up front. was cruising around tonight, locked them up, caused me to go kindof off onto the side of the road and crack my bumper up on a rock. it dosent really matter since my "paint" is vinyl so ill just slap some more over it, but its pissing me off. the bias on these things are awful. there is so little room in the pedal before they lock and i dont want this screwing up my car.

how do i make these brakes perform similarly to stock in terms of bias and lockup? ill buy a bias valve or whatever or different pads or anything, i just want these brakes to work like a regular car.

now im sure somone will come in and say, learn to modulate the brakes. i dont want to waste my time learning how to modulate on a gimped setup, since no other car besides a 240 with z32 fronts would have this much retarded bias and snap lockup.

spl lines front, z32 30mm aluminum calipers, blank rotors, hawk pads. stock rear. stock master cylinder. after reading around people have told me that the reason they lock up so bad is because i need a z32 master cylinder. is this correct?

Yes. The larger MC will allow better manipulation.

here's a thread that may helphttp://dgtrials.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=2188

don't get a brake bias valve. no good to fix some of that bias you'll need to invest more money =/ with z32 rears or something bigger behind.

you could sell your caliper/rotor setup. lots of guys will pay big bucks for it and opt for a set of say maxima calipers/rotors and a z32 rear setup for a little more balanced brake bias. but you'll lose the bling.

i wonder how those guys with the wilwood/rotora/brembo fronts feel with stock 240sx rears lol. lock up during a drift and get owned.

hmm ok been talking with some of my friends and here is what i am thinking

in the front, ive actually found out that i actually have hawk blue pads in the front. in the back i just have stock stuff. so the general opinion is that the rear brakes suck and arent doing enough work stoping the car. i have some hps pads that ill put on the rear, also i will get stainless rears. maybe that will help.

When I first installed my Z32 fronts, I had axxis metal master for the Z32 fronts and used stock pads for the rear brakes... I never had problems locking up the front brakes unless it was snowing hard outside or I slam on the brakes REALLY hard.

I now have Axxis metal master on all four corners and I love them
