I got this dandy on my bumper a few days ago. Went right through the clear bra, clear coat, silver paint and primer to the base black of the bumper. It is about 3/4 inch long. One body shop gave me a quote of $1000 to fix it!! Any suggestions on the best way to fix this myself? It doesn't have to be perfect, just so it doesn't stick out so much. I have a paint pen.

I have a similar problem except it is on the hood. The chip is slightly bigger than yours and I was quoted for $1400 to get it fixed (the hood is also dented slightly). Since I live in Canada, I'm going to wait until it gets warmer before I do anything. I've researched about some products and some of them seem to work pretty well. I can't recall the name of it, but i'll let you know as soon as I remember

I had a larger chip on my bumper (also have a silver Rogue) over the summer. I used a very thin brush from an art supply store to apply a thin layer of paint each day for a week or so. After I applied enough paint to match the surrounding area, I threw a layer of clear coat on. It isn't perfect, but it doesn't stick out as much now. Obviously it is difficult to match the texture of spray paint with a brush, but I found that the brush is significantly better than trying to use the pen in such a large area.
