Since nobody really does agressive offset wide wheels on the old Datsun trucks I wanted to post up to show it can be done with minimal work.

Since I get lots of quetions about them and how they fit on 521's here's some info on my wheel and tire setup.

Wheels : Western Turbine 15x10 -64 offsetTires : 225/50/15

Fenders rolled and pulled with ZG fender flares. No cutting performed. 3" drop blocks in the rear, torsion bars cranked down and indexed up front.

The wheels weren't exactly pretty when I picked them up, but I found them on craigslist and got the 4 of them for like $75 if I remember right. They had been on an old lifted blazer with mud tires on them. The guy laughed when I told him they were going on a Datsun.

First test fit

Starting to paint them

A little more indepth fitment checks. Amazingly the large low offset wheels clear everything suspension wise with it lowered. The fact that its four wheel drum brakes makes brake clearance a non-issue.

All finished up and ready for tires

On the truck

Cool, good info. You should go lower if possible (i know nothing of old datsuns).

ps - Why didn't you paint the lips?

Thanks. As for going lower, I'm content with the stance it currently has. I could go lower but 3" in the rear and 3.5" in the front is plenty for me. Its low but not too low IMO.

As for the lips, those and the spoke faces were machined and I didn't want the wheels all blacked out so the machined lip with the chrome lug nuts fit well for my tastes.
