How to fabric door panel?

I'm planning to change out the fabric on the door interior panel cause the checker fabric is too dull for me. I'm gonna use jdm Bride red fabric and have was wondering if I should take the door panel apart or just cut it out and glue it?

I think maybe those that did dynamat installs can chime in on this since they had to removed almost the whole interior!
