Had to replace head unit, but wont function with wife's HDD from original unit. I have been unable to find a reference on how to erase content on the unit installed.
Any direction is appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

I don't think there is an option - I have the same issue on my M56x and just left it.

What vehicle are you inquiring for that actually has the issue?

Ilya, I posted this about our G. Didn't realize I put it in the M forum. Own one of those also. Was able to erase the content of the MUSIC BOX. Aux->Music Box-> Text.
There is an option to erase content of music box, which it did. Now I have to figure out how to clear address book.
