Hey as you can see by not only my quetion but by my number of posts that I am a Noob. I ask because I have recently aquired a S13 redtop powered S13.Why you may asked.

mybrother went of to collage and left it in my hands. I want to learn how to drag race My brother use to drag race it after he installed the engine. He was showing me but now that he is gone I wonder if you guys can help me with suggestions.

I've been droping the clutch at around 2500rpms this is on street tires no LSD and on an organized street racing track. I dont quite understand this feathering method he tells me about and do I do that in every gear???

any advice would help.

by the way my mods are as follows: No catback yet open 3" down pipe, Manual boost controller, boost at 12psi, Hks FMIC, Blitz BOV.

you "feather" the throttle by backing off slightly as you feel wheelspin and ease back into the power as traction returns. It takes practice and every car is different. If you are serious about drag racing put an LSD in it, one wheel wonder ain't getting it done

He is talking about power banning the engine me and my friends have done it for a while now. with a turbo car this works much more effectively but it does work on n/a cars to.when you shift gears you want to slip the clutch just enough to keep it in the higher rpms (since you create more hp at higher rpms) but not so much that you loose all grip it is very hard on a clutch and would not reccomend doing it all the time with out a race clutch.it takes alot of practice and is different on every car but once you get a feel for it and get it down you will be able to push that car to its limits, you will no you are doing it right when it feels like a ruuber band is flinging you forward.
