how to do successful intake manifold gasket change ??? 240sx 302 engine

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

yep, i want to change the gaskets because the first time i try, i let a oil leak in the intake manifold, so i need help or some tips to do it successful.

i buy the gaskets from autozone and buy a silicone in black color .

so here are the pictures of the engine without intake manifold. help will be apreciate. thanks

and the other one

some more thing..when i remove the intake manifold, water and oil mixed. i think if its good idea to put some seafoam after replacing all gaskets to clean all the internals and after that, replace oil.

thanks for ur help =)

... past friday, i put the intake gaskets and i tightened all the bolts at the specific torque and with the specific sequence.

but something goes wrong, because i start the engine and there was a water leak... so i tightened the bolts a little more agan with no great results.... i put the gaskets and all things right.

so i go to a mechanic and try to get some advices, and he toldme i need to put the intake gaskets a little upper. i did that and now, there arent water leaks =) , i seafoam the engine too and did an oil change .

anyways, thanks for help !!
