how to do a wet compression test?

Just did a compression test, and it read 149. to check if the piston rings are worn, do i just add some oil through the sparkplug hole and than test again? How much oil to add?

Yes, count to 5.Also what type of engine, if its an SR, you are ok. If its a KA i think thats a bit high, but you should be fine.

wuts normal compression for KA? i redid the test again with the engine fully warmed up and it reads 160/150/150/160. How much oil to add?

i'm not sure if you have a ka or sr, but for what i learn on sr20 is that if your have all 150 for all cylinder you have a normal motor actually is good. but if you have like you said 160 150 150 160 is not good or maybe is good for Ka motor. i have all 150's for sr20. just to let you know. if you have sign of oil on the tread of the spark plug meaning you might have a bad piston rings or spark plug o-ring seal. as long there is not a lot of oil on the plugs. if it is..is BAD
