how to discover what motor i have..

ok.. again i have searched and asked on other forums and gotten nowhere.. i have a 89s13 that i swapped a 94 s13 dohc into.. now the problem is my buddy says my motor looks different than his 92 dohc and he says he thinks i have an s14 motor.. i know its right on the years when they changed everything and i am wanting to find out what cams i have and what motor.. how would i find this out? i know the s13 cas were 240 intake and 248 exhaust and all yo uhave to do is swap the cams redrill the cam gear and youll get better performance.. but in the s14 motors you get the 232/232 setup.. so please help me figure out what motor and cams i have.. thanks..

look at the valve cover the top between the spark plug holes is there 2 bolts or 3 if three then you have a s13/ two then its a s14
