Hey guys I'm looking into rims for my Versa and I'm wondering, how do I know how wide the rim will be? Basically I noticed the stock rims are "pushed in" and not very wide at all. I'm hoping for a rim that has a nice offset and is much closer to the fender. How can I determine that?

For example I've seen some rims that say

17x7, 4x100 or17x7.5, 4x100 or even17x7, 4x114.3

Thanks for the help.

the 4xwhatever is the lug pattern, you need 4x114.3, or 4x4.5.17x7 is diameter x width.our Vs need offset between -35 and -45, -35 will be out more and the -45 eill be in more.17x7 with -38 iffset or 17x7.5 with a -42 offset are perfect.

i have 17x7 with -42 offset and they are in about 1/4 inch in more than i would like them to be.

Thanks for the replies fellas, I have one more question.

What's the difference between let's say

17x717x7.517x8

Basically, what does that last number mean? Thanks.

Do you mean Positive offset between +35 and +45?

Yea that's what he means, a -42 offset wouldn't even be possible haha.

now lets really throw him off....i have 225/30ZR20 tires on my 20's....my rims are 20x7.5 with an offset of +38...confused yet?the +38 brings the rims pretty close to flush with the fenders...
