how to determine the year from junkyard?

hope this isnt a dumb question but i found a 240 lying around at the junk yard with cams still in it. i know single from dual cam but how to i determine what year it is exactly 91-94. is there anyway to check, im sure there is. thanks alot

I would just ask the guy if he doesn't know I would look at the door jab/also the engine bay at the firewall for the plate VIN etc. If all else fails write down VIN and find someone with a carfax and run it. I know someone with it until end of march.

Well, if it didn't have flipup headlights then it's not an S13. '89 and '90 240's had different looking front ends, they were "pignose" s13's, and you want to stay away from those because they are KA24E's. Basically, if it has flipup headlights and a KA24DE, you can use the cams from that.
