how to determine if sr 02 ssnsor is bad and causing car to pop and sputter?

how can i determine if my o2 sensor is out? what are some of the symptoms? any way to tell? will only hold boost at 1 bar anything over it pops and sputters??? plugged in or not doesn't make a difference? any help greatly appreciated!

If your O2 sensor is bad, you will be throwing a code.

The popping and sputtering is relative to A:F ratio. If you are popping and sputtering, you are damaging your engine. If you want to increase your boost, you will need to properly tune the A:F ratio.
