How do you determine if your seals for the turbo are blown, there must be a way to do that that gives you a good %

Thanks,

oil coming out of the compressor housing or out the back. If it is a stock CA18DET turbo it's blown.

no it is not a stock t25 turbo, yes originally it was a t25, but i got it machined to a t28 and I installed it over a month ago, and now i am getting lots of oil going to the intake

you're likely sucking it out through the valve cover vent lines. check that before damming the turbo.

you are right in a way, the engine was sucking it from the valve cover so, i temporary re-routed that line to an external bottle, and cleaned the intercooler from the oil, took it for a drive, it was fine on the highway, about 10 mins later of doing about 120km/hr, lots of smoke was coming from the back, I mean lots, I did a compression test and it measured around 155psi on all four cylinders and I also did a leak test and the results were excellent, I am not sure, i thought I blew the engine, but the compression is good, I don't know man, some times things don't make sense to me with that dam engine

Thanks,

well you have been suking the oil into the motor so I would give it some time to work it's way out.

Since you've re-routed the breather line from the valve cover, I recommend cleaning the intercooler and any pipe that can collect oil and go from there to determine if indeed it's the turbo. Best way to determine if it's the turbo seals is when you get on it hard and get off, if it starts smoking blip the pedal to see if it smokes at your throttle response. If it does, then drive it softly off boost and if it doesn't smoke then "Yes" it's the turbo. Those upgraded turbos are crap because I had my T25 converted to a T2/T3 and it shat it's seal the same way. Get rid of the crappy T2 small stuff and get yourself a T3/T04B stage1 turbo. It can take abuse and will give you much more useable power.

I believe i found the problem with my car, I noticed since I advanced my timing bit to much, the car starting smoking real bad, so i readjust my timing (cas) and now the car is running without any problems.

Thanks guys for your input,
