I have a 1990 240SX which was in a collison >>>||<<< I'm receiving a "loss of primary ignition signal" error when cranking. Since the wiring harness to the transmission is laready in such bad shape I want to replace it. How are the wires disconnected from the transmission pass through?

the wires that run down the trans are only held by a few metal bendable finger-like things. just bend them open so they let the wires loose. and of course you'll have to pull off the retaining covers off the clips and then the clips will come lose from the sensors.

No, I want to remove the internal wiring harness from a transmission....not the intermediate harness between the transmission and ECM/Engine.I can't find a way to remove them.

internal wiring harness? i don't know about you, but my transmission has 0 wires in it. it has several sensors on it, with wires leading away, but none in it. ahh, mechanical heaven. no electronics to bother me . . .
