You could try and use dental floss, usually the thicker grade stuff. If that doesn't work, try some string, make sure it's thick enough that it doesn't snap. That's what I did when I removed the dealer emblem from the rear end.

My piece of advice, don't use a screw driver, you might scratch up the paint accidentally and you'll be pissed.

It's actually easier than you think....

1. use a hairdryer (Hot one) keep blowing it for a while, and try to pull it off

if it goes off, that means all the letters are just glued up there

2. if it doesn't want to go off easily, grab your buddy to use dental floss or those nylon string which cake shop used to tied up cake boxes to try to slide it in, and pull it out

3. Still don't work, Ask Nissan "a letter fall off" what glue do you guys use to glue the letter (and find something to counter that)

Use 3M Adhesive Remover to get asny residual adhesive off. The dental floss and hairdryer work well.

I waited for a hot day and then used an old Starbucks gift card and some goo gone.

Paint thinner works good too. You can scrape off any tough grimy bits with a garden shovel.

Make sure you play stripper music when you're doing it.

1. Heat the badge with hair dryer. Don't need to melt paint off, just warm enough to soften the glue.2. Use dental floss or fishing line and saw your way though the adhesive backing.3. Use rubbing alcohol and terry cloth or micro-fiber towel to remove remaining residue. It's a solvent, but not strong enough to harm paint. It also evaporates very quickly.4. Polish and wax the area you used rubbing alcohol on. Chances are you've just added some scratches to the paint while wiping off the residue.

If you must use a screw driver to pry, tape the tip and areas of the car around the badge (as a precaution) with blue painter's tape and be very careful not to put direct contact on the car; use screw driver only to pull badge away from body, not to use it to leverage against the body.

All common sense, yes?

You have to hit it very hard until you see metal chipping away!

i just used a blow dryer, and some dental floss (had a friend hold the blowdryer)... once the letters were off, most of the take stayed, so i peeled as much off, then used some water and a claybar to take the rest off (took a LONG time), then there was a BIT left so i just used goo gone. you gotta wax it though.. cause theres a slight variation from under the letters... but after you wax it you wont notice

Out here, you could just wait until it's 100 degrees and peel it off with your fingers.

Hair dryer works great.

Will de-badging ruin the paint though? I think I am going to use a hairdryer and dental floss

It won't ruin the paint if you do it that way, but depending on how old your car is and what your paint has been through, it might not match with the surrounding paint.

I debadged mine after 2 years of ownership. Took off the Versa and left Nissan logo on. I used the hairdryer dental floss method. The residual tape I just rolled into balls with my thumb and then goo goned the rest. after a light wash you could see absolutely no trace of the letters. My versa is black by the way.

Why would it ruin the paint? Paint under the badge is no different than the paint elsewhere on the car that is exposed to the sun. You won't ruin it unless you're a clutz and don't follow the steps and precautions I mentioned in my previous post. If you can't follow those instructions then you shouldn't attempt this at all.

I'm going to do the hairdryer and fishing line method and we will see how it works ok, but from what I'm hearing everything thing should be fine.

Thanks for the tips guys.
