Hey Guys,

I need some help here.

So I have a 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR with HIDs. The ballasts and bulbs are 35w, but I wanted to upgrade them to 50w or 55w ballasts and bulbs.

Is this as simple as unplugging the ballasts and bulbs and just purchasing a new kit? I wasn't sure if the ballasts were built in someone, since it is stock with the car.

Thanks,

Does anyone have a clue on how to do this?

Does anyone have or know where I can find a wiring diagram for the headlights on a 2010 Altima?

Yes. You may also want to consider purchasing or making a relay harness to ensure more reliable start-up with the 55w HIDs.

If you just need a diagram of the head lights so you know what you are looking at, you can check a parts site; here's the head light diagram from Courtesy Parts. http://www.courtesyparts.com/a....html

If you need to know what the actual wires are in the harness check the FSM that's linked in the FAQ sticky.

Cool. Thanks for responding.

Do you think you can instruct me on making a relay harness?

Thanks.

It's just an automotive relay, a fuse, various wiring and terminals. If you don't already have wiring supplies it'll likely be cheaper for you to just purchase the wiring harness. $15-30 on ebay, ddmtuning or other various websites. If you want to DIY check on HID planet forums.
