ever since I tuned my car, I can't seem to keep the car on the road when I gun it hard. I can't WOT in 1st or 2nd gear without breaking traction.

I have nismo 1.5 lsd, 225 and 245 kumho ecsta MX tires

I am thinking about moving the 245 to the front and get some 17x10 and mount 275 ecsta MX tires in the rear.... what do ya'll think?

for straight line traction, you should get taller tires. wider will help but you will put more more to the ground because the taller tire will flex more. you might want to get a smaller rim and a taller tire.

you wont be any better off

ive come to the conclusion that you really will just have to deal with it, unless you want your car solely set up for drag racing and you run 15x9s with drag radials in the rear all the time

just drive normally in those gears

15x9 with 275/50-15 Nitto 555R Drag Radials would drive decent on the street and good at the track.

I think the problem is partially me, I need to relearn how to drive with the car tuned. Before it was sluggish, rpm doesn't climb nearly as fast as it does now.

I plan to get 17x10 in the rear and either 255 or 275/40/17 but I haven't decided what tires to get.

When I go to tirerack.com their only 3 Extreme Performance Summer tires are Kumho ECSTA MX, which is rated higher than BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD but shy of Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

So I automatically assumed that Kumho ECSTA MX will probably out perform a lot of daily driving tires in their list...

You should go with so Toyo T1S they have some of the best traction you will find another sugestion is get some adjustable shocks. Also don't be afraid to heat up your tire before you get on it.

Throttle control

You're approaching the limit of usable power in an S-chassis -- you're going to have to adapt a little to driving it.

...Duy's 240 has 1000+horse on it and is still using the swing axle setup.

bfg drag radials. with enough air in them they are good for everyday use. just be ready to burn through tires quick.

yeah I saw... some of these have 1/4 thread wear or already low thread wear tires...

I think I am going to work on it myself and upgrade to wider tires at the same time.

another question...what boost controller are you running?? maybe a controller that can do gear dependant boost. start at 10 or so, then have second boost 12, 3rd boost 14 and hit full boost in fourth.

Drag racers may want to utilize the Gear based boost control function. Aside from the basic functions above, the AVC-R has a Start Duty Setting (allows the boost to momentarily overshoot according to gear).......from...
